Best Practices Guide
In 2007 CALJ published its Best Practices Guide to Scholarly Journal Publishing, an update of the earlier 1997 handbook. The guide provides a publishing overview and information on aspects such as: financial management, editorial management, production, marketing, circulation, and copyright, among others. The guide also includes several templates.
All CALJ members in good standing receive as a benefit of membership an electronic copy of the guide. Print copies of the guide are available for purchase ($40) to non-member journals and research libraries in Canada and internationally.
